We are situated in a rural part of north-east Leicestershire between Melton Mowbray and Leicester, 15 minutes from J21 of the M1 for customers travelling from the South or 20 minutes from J22 for customers travelling from the North.

We originate from T S Motor Bodyworks which was established in 1978 by Tony Scott. In the late 1980’s and early 1990’s due to the classic car boom we started to do a lot of body restoration including two Triumph Stag shell rebuilds to concours standard.  In 1999 Tony decided to concentrate solely on classic cars and set up the company Spring Grange Restorations Ltd, which trades as Spring Grange Classics. 

Tony has been a classic car enthusiast for many years and has privately owned many classics including an E-type Roadster, a TR6, a Porsche 911, and of course Triumph Stags, the first being previously owned by comedian Les Dawson. 

Although 80% of our business is based on Triumph Stags, it is not unusual to see a Jaguar, Austin Healey, or a TR in our workshop.  We also have a vast knowledge of the MG marque. 

Our staff consists of Tony, our totally ‘hands-on’ director, who has been in the motor trade since 1972, and Richard Clarke who has been with Tony since 1982.  In 1998 Ian Southin joined us with over 15 years experience in all aspects of classic car restoration.  Richard Groome is the latest addition to our staff team having started in 2005 with a wealth of experience in historic rally preparation, and classic car restoration.   

Car Sales:

We keep a selection of around 10 top quality stags for sale.  We carefully select the best original examples or the properly rebuilt examples, and put them through our workshop, undertaking any work required to bring them up to top condition.   

Every car comes with a clean detailed engine bay, polished or new wheels, and everything you would expect of a well-presented car.  We can also rebuild cars to your specification if required on a stage payment basis.

 To purchase one of our cars we require a 10% deposit.  Before collection by the new owner all cars undergo a full major service and extensive check over (check-list available on request).  We give a full valet, 12 months MOT, and warranty (see separate details).
